Introducing: The INTO MIND Advent Calendar

Advent calendars are definitely one of my favourite traditions for the holidays. Getting up on a cold, dark December morning is just so much easier when you have a little surprise waiting for you. Now, 2013 has been such a great year for INTO MIND. I’ve had so much fun writing and designing content for you and I truly appreciate all of your feedback! So, as a thank you from me to you I’ve decided to create an advent calendar for you: a 24-part series of daily tips and mini assignments to guide you and your wardrobe through the busy holiday season.

December is the ideal time for a daily series like this, just because there is sooo much to do. All those holiday events, the chilly weather and the all-around festive mood means you have a lot of things to plan, think about and prepare for. That's where the INTO MIND Advent calendar comes in. Of course, I'm not going to tell you exactly what you'll find each day, that would ruin the fun ;) Here's just a glimpse of what to expect:

Winter-proof your wardrobe, prepare for the holidays and dig a little deeper into what personal style means to you.

All in 24 bite-sized mini posts full of actionable tips, things to think about or get inspired by.

The Advent calendar will have three major themes:

  • Week 1 will be all about winter-proofing your wardrobe. How to stay inspired despite minus degrees, how to stock up on winter essentials, develop a “stay warm” strategy and extend your fall wardrobe - all without sacrificing style points.
  • Week 2: Christmas, New Year’s or even the holiday party at the office - chances are you have at least one big event coming up this December that deserves some extra planning time. Week 2 will guide you through the whole process of getting ready for a major event: From the initial planning stages to the final test-drive.
  • Above all, December is the ideal time for some soul-searching. Week 3 will help you dig a little deeper into what exactly style means to you. Reflect on your influences, your style evolution, your strengths and motives.

the logistics

Because I prefer to reserve this space for my regular, long-ish non-time-sensitive posts, the Advent calendar will not be published on the blog itself. To receive the daily tips you can choose between two channels:
1.Facebook Simply like INTO MIND here.
2. Email Sign up here to get each tip delivered straight to your inbox. Note: If you sign up here, you will only receive the Advent calendar via email, no other regular posts. If you already follow INTO MIND via email you will still need to sign up to receive the Advent calendar.

For everyone who likes their content in a more compact format I will also be posting a round-up of all daily tips of the past week each Advent Sunday (the 2nd, 3rd and 4th) here on the blog.

I hope you are as excited about this December as I am! Feel free to send me an email or a message on Facebook if there are any topics you’d like me to go more into detail about. I’d love to hear your feedback!
